Engineering Intern

Summary

Engineering Interns will have the opportunity to participate in the design of projects
and receive mentoring from experienced engineers about navigating their future.
They will perform engineering work requiring application of standard techniques,
procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related project tasks.

Essential Functions

• Produce engineering layouts with supportive calculations.
• Prepare project specifications and cost estimates working from
schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions.
• Participate in site visits.

• Assist Design team engineers and project managers with support assistance as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Ability to work independently.
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of computer application
software including AutoCAD.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Excellent follow-up skills.

Education and Experience

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering program,
preferably at an ABET accredited university.
